Suggest An OTC Medication For GERD

I have been told that I have GERD and have been taking prescription Prevacid & similar generic medicine for thirty-five years or longer. Now the insurance company won t pay for this prescription medicine because it is available over the counter. What would be a good over the counter replacement?
