Suggest An OTC Suppository For Persistent Vomiting

my daughter who is 19 has been vomiting for about 4 days with no fever. we went to the doctor who prescribed a pill for nausea and an antibiotic. She took the pill for nausea but has thrown up since. is there an otc suppository that might help with the nausea?

Hello,

Vomiting that cannot be controlled with oral pills should be controlled with IV( intravenous) or IM( intramuscular) injections.

Tablet emset (ondansetron) can help in stopping the vomiting but if it won’t help then, I would sugest you take her to ER for it.

You mentioned she has a fever as well, so the cause is likely infectious. So, antipyretic like paracetamol can help to bring the fever down and for infection with all medical history, appropriate antibiotics can help as per your doctor’s advice.

The doctors in ER might advise for some blood tests to be done for better understanding of the cause so that proper management can be done.
