Suggest An Alternate Prescription For Endone

my friend recently had surgery to fix her big toe and second toe due to compound fractures and has had steel rods inserted, she is on endone but it isn't very effective of late with the pain, should she go back to the hospital? She had surgery on Thursday, today is Saturday.
