General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You can try Loratadine 10 mg at night or Cetirizine 10 mg at night to help with allergy. These are new antihistamines and are supposed to cause little or no drowsiness. Rarely, patients may feel drowsy with these drugs as well, but taking them at night will help prevent this.

If you still feel drowsy after taking these drugs, then you will need to talk to your doctor again.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. Let me know if I may assist you further.

Regards,
