General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Oxybutynin reduces muscle spasms of the bladder and urinary tract. It is used to treat symptoms of overactive bladder, such as frequent or urgent urination, urinary incontinence and increased night-time urination.
Alternatives to Oxybutynin are Tolterodine Tartrate and Trospium Chloride.
However, you need to consult Urologist before you switch over to alternatives as you need to be assessed as to weather these drugs would be suitable or not.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
