Suggest An Alternative Medication For Nausea And Dizziness
worked in un air conditioned factory for 8 hours yesterday with heat index of 108. Went swimming last night at a slab that had a log in it that smelled like it had been dipped in kerosene. Started vomiting later last evening. Vomited 4-5 times. Now skin on hands, arms, chest and near eyes have started to blister. 1 Benadryl seemed to help some today but still nauseated. Also dizzy when standing up.
You will need to take plenty of water as vomiting and blistered skin may cause huge water loss. Oral rehydration solutions are the best fluid substitutes as they substitute both water and electrolytes that we lose with vomiting. You will need to take them in frequent small amounts to be able to avoid nausea and keep some of it in your stomach even in case you throw up. I would advise you to also see a doctor and examine the blisters and make sure this is not an infection or something that needs quick medical attention. The doctor may also prescribe metoclopramide which may help with nausea and vomiting.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
