Suggest An Alternative Of Cholestyramine

I take cholestyramine for chronic diarrhea caused from gall bladder removal. It works, but it is full of high glucose corn syrup. I have been on this twice a day for about 6 years. It has gone up to over 400.00. Medicare D pays half. Is there anything in comparison I can take instead? No worries I had 3 colonoscopies and don t have all the bowel diseases. Its 15% of population that had gall bladder removal problems

Hi,

You can take UDCA (Ursodeoxycholic Acid) tablets which are quite effective and are comparatively cheaper one. It is available over the counter also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
