Suggest An Alternative Of Cipro

I will have eyelid surgery and Cipro has been rec postop. I cannot take Cipro, Keflex, Bactrin, Sulfa. Can you recommend a milder substitute that does not carry serious side effects for kidneys, joints, prediabetes, asthma. I am not allergic to penicillin. Thanks. YYYY@YYYY

You may try Clindamycin post operatively. most of this antibiotics will have to be cleared through kidney and or liver so unless you dont have any pre-exisiting symptoms, allergies or have been on antibiotics for a very long time, concern for all those problems you want to avoid are very low. FYI clindamycin and cipro cover different strain of antibiotic so depends what the doctor is giving you Cipro for
