Suggest An Alternative Of Doxazosin

My husband is 77 years old and has an enlarged prostate and is currently taking Doxazosin (2 mg. daily). He was taking 4 mg. prior but it caused his blood pressure to drop too low. He is experiencing more frequent nightly urinations and wonder if there is another medication that he could take that wouldn't lower his blood pressure?
Also, is the supplement Prosta Genix safe to take? (He takes Crestor 10MG twice a week, Coreg, Lasix, Klonopin, and 81 Aspirin daily)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query on Healthcare Magic.
I understand your concern.

I think you should consult to the treating doctor about the substitution for Doxazosin.
For Prosta Genix, we have a limit study that show the benefit and the side effect, so again, I will suggest to talk to your husband's doctor.

Thank you.
