She just had two aphresis ports removed durning this stay and we don t not want any more procedures. Any other solutions or oral antibiotics to go home?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

For what she is admitted and taking antibiotics? and for how long? As for your concern it is advisable to finish the IV antibiotic course completely, as incomplete course might lead to resistance. Changing the drug from IV to oral may not work effectively as IV route, so I suggest you to complete the course.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
