Suggest An Alternative To Premarin

Hi, Dr. Rynne I m 52 & been physically struggling with hormone imbalances. I am taking Premarin 0.088mg & Synthroid 0.088mg. I do not feel the benefits; I m lethargic, cold & cannot get a good night sleep! Last Tuesday, I ceased taking the two & I can feel my energy level increasing. How long will it take for my body to rid itself of the effects of these hormones? What can I take instead of Premarin?

Hi,

Feeling lethargic and excessive cold may be due to insufficient thyroid hormone replacement. Please be advised to undergo a thyroid function test and follow up with your treating physician to assess for the need for Synthroid dose adjustment.

Please be advised not to discontinue the medications without discussing with your doctor first.
