Suggest An Alternative Treatment For Ankle Pain

i have a deep ankle pain which is now growing and causing my foot to spasm...even laying down the pain is growing cant put much pressure on ball of my foot...also achilles tendon is slightly swollen haven been on naproxen for 10 days and wearing an ankle brace but have been useless.

In case of Ankle pain, case history is very important. Ankle pain with the involvement of Achilles tendon strongly suggest the history of some kind of traumatic events like sprain or twisting of Ankle. As you said it's not relieving after taking Naproxen that means its kind of serious Tendon injury or hairline Tear in tendon.
Mostly, hair line tear of tendon shows symptoms like sharp pain which aggravate especially after touching foot to floor, mild swelling and inability to twist or move foot.
In this case patient should consult Orthopedic surgeon where Ortho surgeon will examine in detail and may ask to check affected part with 3D CT scan to rule out minor hair line tear. After thorough Clinical and imaging examination Ortho surgeon will decide the plan of treatment.
