General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you need to keep close follow up with a same psychiatrist or after a second opinion stick to one as such long term illnesses can't be treated with a single dose regimen and repeat follow-ups to uptitrate or decrease the treatment regimen and addition and omission of drugs is needed continuously.

Meanwhile, motivational psychologist or group therapy sessions may be needed persistently along with treatment. If symptoms persist indoor admission and Directly observed therapy may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
