I have shooting pains in my right foot, mostly late in the day. I ve been to podiatrists, neurologists, and orthopedic surgeons; I ve had an MRI on my spine and foot/ankle, and 2 EMGs. Tests showed no visible scar tissue, no spinal disc problems, and the nerves that could be tested in my foot looked young for my age. I m 59. I have been prescribed gabapentin, and it helps, but I want to fix the problem, not medicate it. Any ideas about what this could be?
