Suggest Antibiotic For Sinus Infection When Diagnosed With IgG2 Deficiency And GERD

I have a lot of medical problems. These include IgG2 deficiency, 2nd degree AV block with bradycardia, arrythmias, PUD/GERD, metabolic syndrome, CFS & FM, & history of thyroid cancer. I have allergies to PCN, Sulfa including spirolactin & others, TCN, cephalexin, & had hives post-op to IV gentamycin. & other drug allergies not related to antibiotics. My problem is this: I have a sinus infection. Was on cipro but caused a major GI problem-ulcer, gastritis, bloating, pain, nausea. So had to DC it. The other standard antibiotic I use is a z-pak. But with the recent advent of the AV block, I hesitate to use a z-pak. What other antibiotics can I use? My doctor is currently only working 3 hrs a day 3 days a week while he is post op from surgery. I am a disabled former nurse & have known my doc for years. If I have options to give him, it would help. Can you suggest anything?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Pregnancy with constipation causes digestive problems like indigestion, bloating / hyperacidity. This can cause pain in abdomen after food. Constipation needs to be managed by small, frequent servings of food with more of veges, salads and fruits with peals (whenever possible). Drinking at least 10 glasses of warm water in a day / walking exercise daily. Stool softer on form of clear butter 1 tea spoon with hot water at bed time daily or alternate day as per need would help. Doctor's advice on failure of relief.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
