Suggest Any Treatment For Swollen And Painful Eyes After Poking With A Stick.
HI My 2 yr old daughter poked her eye with a tent stick and she couldn t open her eye, so she feel asleep and I just noticed her eye looks swollen.i m not sure if its her eye or eye lid that s swollen.I tried to open her eye but she crys and kicks that it hurts.and right now she s VERY sensitive to light.
Hello It seems from the history that your 2 year old daughter has suffered an injury with stick following which the eye is swollen and painful. This indicates injury to the eye lid or to the eye ball. Since stick injuries can lead to damage to the vital structures, this requires evaluation to find out the damage caused by injury. As of now you can start her on analgesic syrup for pain relief but since the structure involved is eye this requires evaluation and treatment by a ophthalmologist. Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist at the earliest for examination and treatment.
Thank you
