General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, i do care for your concern.
Swelling in legs may be caused due to renal and liver pathology.
The pain you feel at back most probably due to age related.
i would advise
1) To have blood test report of liver function test and renal function test.
2) Kindly check with your physician about your reports, and if needed get intervention done.
3) Regarding pain to much of pain killers will in turn cause renal damage, so switch over to other medicines with less side effects.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
