Suggest Cause For Causes Of Brain Zaps

Neurology question: What are the possible causes of "brain zaps", excluding drug/medication withdrawals? For some time now, I've been experiencing what I can only describe as a jolt of electricity being passed through my brain. It doesn't usually hurt when it happens, but mild headaches sometimes follow within a few minutes.
