Suggest Cause For Joint Pain In Hasimotos Patients
I was diagnosed with Hasimotos last year. Recently my thyroid has gone hyperthryoid. I have started have a lot of joint pain in my knees. It starts after I have been sitting short or long periods of time. When I stand there is pain and stiffness. I am only 41 years young!
Dear ma'm, hi! you have hashimoto thyroiditis, in that case this hyperthyroidism will be a temporary phase. it will pass off within 6-8 weeks. hyperthyroidism is a state of increased metabolism, increased bone turn over. so it will weaken your bones. you may treat yorself with calcium, vitamin D and pain killers and tide over these 6-8 weeks. next you may become hypothyroid or euthyroid. if you become euthyroid, continue with calcium and vitamin D, and if you become hypothyroid, treat yourself with thyroxine replacement along with calcium and vitamin D. regards!
