Suggest Cause For Swollen Lymph Nodes Under Armpit
Hi, I m a 55year old male. My lymph nodes have become painfully swollen for about a month now. The ones under my armpits have been the worst, especially the right side. Now I have painful swollen glands in my neck on the right side and pain in my right shoulder under the muscle. I don t seem to have any other symptoms or sickness. What could be happening?
As per your query you have swollen lymph nodes under armpit . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like bacterial or viral infections , lipomas , allergic reactions , fibrous tissue growth (fibroadenoma) , cancer of the lymphatic system , lupus or SLE . I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination without any delay . Doctor may order complete blood count to measure the number of red and white blood cells in your system , chest X-ray biopsy and allergy testing . Doctor may prescribe antibacterial ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) , anti viral ( acyclovir ) along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may also recommend radiation therapy and chemotherapy .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
