Suggest Cause & Medications For Intermittent Pain Under Chest

Hello,

I am a 41 yr old male and have intermittent pain on my right hand side under my chest, particularly when lying down. It feels as if it's under my riibs and I get a sharp pain when I breath in deeply. I have had this on and off for the last 6 months. Otherwise I am generally well.

thanks for asking your question

Central / right sides chest pain can be due to
- gastritis/ peptic ulcer
- cardiac issues
- lung or pleural pathology
- local diseases like costochondritis

you need to consult. apulnonologist or a physician who may request for a chest X-ray , ecg , and if required an endoscopy which ll help to reach to a certain diagnosis

in my patients I generally start them on proton pump inhibitors and some analgesics like paracetamol and evaluate them

thanks
