Ground glass opacities in the lung can have a very extensive list of causes. Lymphoma itself can certainly cause this, but even minor infections can do this as well. Aspiration of saliva that occurs during a seizure can cause inflammation of segments of the lung as well. The location of the opacities is sometimes helpful in differentiating. Also, their course over time can also be another factor to help differentiate causes. If it is lymphoma, it will not get better on its own and will need further treatment that can be discussed with the Oncologist. If it is an infection, it may improve or resolve.
I hope this answers your question.
