Suggest Correct Procedure For Using Nasal Spray

Hi, My father has undergone a surgery for clearing his sinuses. As post operative medication, he has been asked to take Solspre. The doctor asked to take a spray into the nostril, wait 10 minutes and then clean. The packaging says wait 30 secs to 1 minute and clean. What s the correct procedure?
