Suggest Course Of Action For An Unhealed Fracture

Hi, my son broke his arm almost 5 weeks ago, he had his plaster removed last tuesday but they didn't re x-ray at that time, since then he has been in a lot of pain with it so he returned to the hospital earlyer this evening and had an x-ray. He found that the bone was still broken but they have done nothing about it, I am now worried that the slightest bang or knock will cause more damage to the bone. Can you please advise me on what I can do, Thank you.
