Suggest Cure For A Bruise On The Ankle

I had fallen off a table while hanging up lights, i fell on my right ankle totally sideways. i got xrays and the doc said it was fine. but theres much bruising and it hurts on the inner, outter, and back of my ankle. and i litterally cant walk on it. what could be wrong?
