Suggest Cure For An Infection On The Vagina

my eight-year-old daughter has a foul smelling discharge in her vagina. it looks like yeast but smells much worse. she said it is itching. I washed her and put some lotrimin on it, and told her not to touch tonight. Do I need to take her to the pediatrician?
