Suggest Cure For An Itchy And Inflamed Vagina

i have an itchy and inflamed vagina (on the labia majora and minora) and I must be scratching it overnight. There is no odour. What can I do to cleanse it. I have a disability which means I have to be seated more than not. Is there any antiseptic solutions, or creams, I can use to cleanse. I tried canastan but seemed to aggravate the situation.
