My 4 yr old daughter has a cluster of blisters on her neck that have been there for a couple of weeks. They seem to stay about the same size, don't seem to bother her, and haven't spread, but she won't let me really look at them. Should we be seeing a doctor for this or is it likely something I can treat at home?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have blisters appearing on neck which seems to be due to local inflammatory reaction. Excessive exposure to sun is the other factor responsible for your condition. I would suggest you to use product containing benzoyl peroxide. You should apply sun screen Such as TAN CARE rich in SPF 26. Drink 8-9 glasses of water daily and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. You should take Ciprofloxacin tablet twice a day. Apply azelaic acid containing cream twice a day. You should avoid oily, sharp and spicy food. You should wash your neck arae with mild soap and cold water twice a day , exfoliate your face once a week. If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
