Suggest Cure For Excessive Itching In Eldery Woman

My mother, who is 84, has had excessive itching over her entire body for a few months. She has tried cremes, etc. she has seen a dermatologist but still has not come up with the cause. Unknown if it is an external or internal issue. She is scheduled to see an allergist next week. Is there anything that can give her some relieve?

Hi

Zyrtec or Claritin may help but the problem may be a liver or kidney problem so her liver and kidney functions need to be checked with blood work
