Suggest Cure For Injury In The Arm Due To Electrocution

I got electrocuted earlier today by touching a power supply that was only half plugged in. It shocked my finger into my hand. This was probably about an hour and a half ago. I was very painful. I ve been icing it and I laid down. Unfortunately I ve been suffering with a migraine all day so I was pretty wiped out before this but I m wiped out to say the least. My question is, my hand and arm are heavy and not 100 percent dexterous. How long will this last and do I need to see a doctor is this something more serious?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The pain is related to inflammation and injury to the tissues in the hand.

It should resolve with the use of anti inflammatory pain killers such as aspirin, ibuprofen, cataflam.
These should be used on a full stomach.

In general, the sensation may last 2 to 4 days though this may vary from one person to the next.

If it worsens or does not improve then you should visit your doctor.
I hope this helps
