Suggest Cure For Low Sugar Symptoms

Over the last week, my husband aged 54 who is a diabetic and who has undergone PTCA (with 2 angioplastiies) is having low sugar symptoms - fatigue, fullness, weak in the legs, etc. Presently, he is on diamicron-30, volix and glycephage for diabetics other than cardio medicines. Kindly help.

Hello,
Good day. It is extremely important to establish if those symptoms are really due to hypoglycemia or not. You need to monitor blood sugar readings at home. Fatigue and fullness may be due to many other reasons. If hypoglycemia is established by doing home blood glucose monitoring, then you may need to reduce medicines. However, i will not advice to reduce medicines now unless it is clear that the symptoms are really due to hypoglycemia.

Binu
