Suggest Cure For Sore & Swollen Testicles

My son who is Avery healthy 20 yr old just text me that he has one testicle that is sore, a little swollen, a warmer to the touch. He does not recall bumping or pinching it. He does do heavy lifting for his job. Any advice? I suggested to watch it the next 24 hours.

Hello
Thanks for query.
Swelling and soreness of testicle is mostly due to infection of the Testis .

This needs to be confirmed by clinical examination by a qualified General Surgeon.

He should consult general surgeon at earliest and get folllowing basic tets done to confirm the diagnosis.
2) Urine Routine tests and Urine culture
2) Ultrasound Scanning of Scrotum.

He needs to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefexime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily Later on he can switch to appropriate antibiotic as per culture report.

Ask him to drink more water .

This should get cured within 2 weeks.
