Suggest Cure For Streptococcus Infection In Vagina

My doctor's office just called and told me I had a vaginal infection. Not a yeast infection, but a streptococcus. I have no systems and have never heard of this. Can you tell me about this type of infection and what is the best cure, and should my husband take something as well?
