Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What symptoms you are experiencing heel/ankle pain on and off could be due to presence of calcaneal spur or plantar fasciitis.
Kindly take x-ray of ankle to look for calcaneal spur. If it is present, you may need to undergo surgery for its removal depending on the degree of the lesion.
In case there is no calcaneal spur, then you need to be treated for plantar fasciitis.
Kindly give soft soul support to heals. Apply ice packs everyday twice daily over the heals for about 15 minutes. Take analgesic medication Tablet. Diclofenac when necessary after food. Undertake physiotherapy exercises when the symptoms stabilise and continue with it for a duration of atleast 6 months.
Gradually, your symptoms should subside and you should be back to normal. Continue to wear soft soul footwear to prevent recurrence of symptoms.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best and wish you good health.
