Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The best thing for good kidney health is to Control the risk factors. The most important are good blood pressure and good sugar control. Other things include avoiding things that can damage the kidneys specially drugs like painkillers (NSAIDs) and certain antibiotics. Besides good hydration (taking lot of fluids) and diet less in salt are other important measures. There should not very strict restriction regarding diet but good health is mandatory anyhow.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Dr Rahman
