Hello,

You had hepatitis E one month back and were hospitalized to be treated for severe jaundice symptoms. Your SGOT and SGPT levels are still elevated. Though you are feeling much better, you will have to take precautions as jaundice (hepatis) often relapses if neglected. It will be better to stay at rest, till your live recovers completely. Drink boiled water after cooling it. Stay away from alcohol or addictions if any.

You are suggested to take boiled well cooked home made food like whole cereals, lean meat, fruits and veggies. Avoid any thing that is raw, not well cooked or hard to digest as it may trigger your symptoms and make you feel ill. You should not take oily, spicy food, packaged food, full fat dairy products, red meat, trans fat, refined flour or very salty snacks.

As you start feeling better you can take food cooked in moderate amount of olive oil. Avoid butter, etc. Take adequate sleep at night so that the live recovers fast. Do regular walking and stretch exercises. Take food that is good for the liver, take liver tonics and digestives to help aid food digestion.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
