Suggest Diet To Avoid Chest Pain Due To Ulcer

I spent 9 hrs this past sunday for chest pain. Many test done & all are normal. No heart issues, no gallstones, no blood clots, etc. Thinking ulcer & gave me BRAT diet. I can t stand eating just bananas, rice, applesauce, & toast. I like to cook so what is safe for me to cook/eat?

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Chest pain is very common due to gastric problems like indigestion, peptic ulcer, gastric reflux, etc. Brat diet could be taken for a week or so. However this does not provide all the elements of a healthy diet. & Following the BRAT diet for too long can cause your body to become malnourished.
I would suggest you to avoid spicy & fried foods. Take diet rich in green leafy vegetables & fruits. You should take fruits like papaya, bananas, etc & citrous fruits are too be avoided. Take diet high in whole grains such as wheat, oats, etc. Bread, chapatis etc can be also taken. Processed meals especially meats areto be avoided.
You could also take omeprazole 20mg empty stomach in morning, it would help you to heal ulcer.

Refer to a physician

Hope this information helps
