General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Soon after undergoing certain procedure, after first 3 to 4 hours during recovery phase, you can give small quantities of fluids at short intervals. In case there is no symptoms of nausea or vomiting, it may be substituted with bland semisolid easily digestible foods. It would be ideal to continue intake of such diet along with fluids for about 3 days.
Slowly, normal diet can be instituted depending on the response by a weeks time.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
