I just got a call from my doctors office sa saying my iron was a little low it should be between 11 and 16 and mine was 10.8 space which I didn t think was that low but I want to know what to eat before the blood work is done again in a few weeks I am typically nervous person but I didn t think 2/10 of a point was that significant am I wrong

Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. 10.8 could be haemoglobin. A low haemoglobin signifies iron deficiencyanaemia. You can take green leafy vegetables like kale and spinach. Taking red meat like beef or mutton or liver of those is better to increase iron faster. Also take citrus fruits daily which provides vitamin C which enhances iron absorption from gut.
