Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed with Crohn s in 1994. In 1996, I had most of my colon, along with rectum and anus removed. I ve been in remission since then. In 2011, I had my first parastomal hernia surgery and am currently experiencing my 4th parastomal hernia. Because of my stoma, I can t eat certain foods and because of hernias, I can t do most exercises. What do you recommend for weight loss? What type of diet should I try to follow?
