Suggest Dosage For Methylprednisolone For Severe Cough

I was given MethylPREDNISolone 6 day pack for a really bad cough associated with a viral infection. How long until I see results? I just finished day 1 of 6 tablets & I feel no relief. I m coughing just as much & I find myself being short of breath every couple minutes at most?

Hello welcome to HCM. Methylprednisolone drug just supresses the symptoms. It doesnot solve the cause.But you can always take if severe cough is there. It takes minimum 3 days to resolve. You should take antibiotics for secondary bacteria infections which is more common .viral infections goes of on itself after 5 days. So every thing will settle down by 5 days. Take care.
