General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Microgestin combined hormone medication is to prevent pregnancy. It contains 2 hormone: Norethindrone (a progestin) and ethinyl estradiol (an estrogen). Take medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually one daily. Pick a time of day that is easy for you to remember, and take your pill at the same time each day.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Heang Chan Raksmey, General & Family Physician
