Suggest Dosage Of Advent Forte For Throat Pain In Children

my daughter is 6years old n her weight is 22 kg... she has fever since last night n complaining that her throat is paining..previously when she had the same problem doctor advised me to give her Advent forte. so can i go for it again n how much ml should i give

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the symptoms sore throat and fever can be probably due to viral throat infection..
Secondly Advent Forte is an antibiotic formulation containing Amoxicillin and is suitable to treat bacterial infections..
In case if it is a viral infection then advent will not help as it can fight only bacterial infection..
So I would suggest you that antibiotics should not be given without proper diagnosis and you should consult a Paediatrician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like throat swab culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case if bacterial infection is ruled out then you can give her advent forte..
But in case if there is viral infection then it will resolve once the virus completes its cycle in human body..
You can give supportive treatment to relieve the symptoms like giving Acetaminophen for fever, Ibuprofen to relieve sore throat and body pains, doing warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can give her plenty of warm fluids and water..
Give her a soft and bland diet..
You should avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Give her sufficient rest..
