Suggest Dosage Of Primolut N Tablets To Delay Periods

Hi i have never taken primolute n before. I am 40yrs. Generally get regular periods. Last 2 months had it in 20 days. This month expected date is 26th. Would like to know whether i consume 3 tablets from 21st or 1tablet daily is ok to postpone till 31st may. Pls let me know

Hi,

Primolut-N contains norethisterone which is used in the treatment of menstrual disorders like painful, irregular or heavy periods and abnormal vaginal bleeding due to hormonal imbalances. It is also used to prevent unwanted pregnancies from unprotected sexual intercourses. Primolut-N only contains progestin called norethisterone is similar to the women's natural hormone, progesterone. The normal dosage of Primolut-N is one tablet three times daily.

Start taking this medication three days before the onset of menstrual cycle and continue for not more than 10-14 days. Normal cycle will resume 2-3 days after stop taking this medication. But, sometimes it may take to resume period 7 days or more than 7days after stop taking Primolut-N. But it will be better for you that before start taking this medication inform your doctor first.
