Suggest Effective Alternatives To Statins For Diabetes

Are there other drugs that I can take for diabetes that are not statins. I am currently taking metformin and glimepiride. I would like to check the side effects for asking my doctor to prescribe something else. I am dealing with diarrhea and drowsiness with metformin and atorvastatin.

Hello and thanks for writing.

Atorvastatin is a drug to lower your cholesterol. If you are suffering these sude effects of atorvastatin you can substitute it with Rosuvastatin 10 md dose once daily.
It has better side effect profile than atorvas.

But do bot stop it before consulting your physician.
