Suggest Home Remedies For Pain And Numbness In The Shoulder

I am experiencing right shoulder pain, numbness and popping. It feels like my shoulder is cold and I experience some weakness at times in my arm. Heating pad helps some. I can t take NSAID s or aspirin because I have a history of Crohn s. Is there something I can do at home besides alternating heat and ice and taking Tylenol for pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve in the shoulder.

I suggest to continue using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain.

I also recommend to maintain the area immobilized to prevent further pain.

If the symptoms continue, I suggest to consult a neurologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
