Suggest Home Remedy To Reduce Extreme Pain In A Root Canaled Tooth

Hello, my boyfriend has a root canal that he got 3 years ago. It is now causing him unbearable pain. We went to the dentist but they did nothing but give him antibiotics and narcos. But the pain is still, it is so bad that he woke up this morning from the pain. I was wondering if there were any home remedies he can do to make the pain go away.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that he has a re- infection in the root canal treated tooth and if the pain is so severe that is not resolving with painkillers then you need to consult an Endodontist and get an X-ray done and in case if there is re-infection in the tooth the Root Canal Treatment might be repeated depending upon condition of the tooth..

As of now to relieve pain hr can take a higher painkiller like TRAMADOL (ULTRAM) for pain relief..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
