Suggest Life Expectancy With Lung Cancer

What happens when all options have been exhausted for stage 4 lung cancer? My mom has been taking camptosar for 3 months and she has never been so sick. She has had this for almost 2.5 years now. If she decides to stop will all the effects from the camptosar stop and what type of a life span do you think is possible?
