Suggest Means To Control Headache Due To Stress In Teens

My son has headaches often, I think sometimes they are migrains and some times tension headaches plus he also has allergy headaches. He has had all kinds of xray s and nothing major thank God! He is 16 and thought he would grow out of it but no and he is missing school all the time. Do not know what to do to help him, we give him motrin. He was told by doctor to do nasal sprays and wash but he gets lazy and never keeps up, I find myself on him all the time. He is as most a high stressed out teen and so is mom, Help!! M. Bergeron

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

In think, he is in stress and needs relaxation and supportive therapy. In that case, better to consult a psychologist. With therapy, he would able to handle to pressure in better way. In case, he needs any medications, then you can consult a psychiatrist. Relaxation exercise like JPMR or deep breathing is better option in his case. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
