Suggest Medication For A Bruise On The Leg

I got hit with another player's knee while playing a soccer game. It was just below my right knee on the interior side. I immediately had a goose egg the size of a golf ball and bruising. I iced once at home. the next morning the bruise had spread down and across. The second morning it had spread even further down my shin. It has been over a week and yesterday morning, the bruise had spread to both sides of my ankle. This evening the bruise had begun to darken and get worse above my ankle. The original goose egg has gone down (but the same diameter) but is firm and a bit lumpy.In 20 years of playing soccer, I have never had a brusie like this. Is it a normal type of bruise? anything I should be worried about?
